Dog Walks, in Groups or Private
On group walks, we typically:
- Walk and exercise through some of North York's parks, like Sunnybrook and Earl Bales, or walk through neighbourhood streets
- Meet and greet neighbourhood dogs
- Reinforce basic obedience and learn new skills
- Give plenty of cuddles and belly rubs!
Group walks are generally the best and healthiest way for your dog tosocialize in a safe environment. Your dog will be picked up from yourhome and then join other canine friends for a walk or romp through alocal park or neighbourhood.
We will provide access to fresh water, toys and healthy treats, and of course, close supervision at all times.
The majority of dogs benefit most from group walks with other dogs. It gives them a chance to engage in instinctual pack behaviour, which keeps them mentally and physically healthy, and also drains all that extra restless energy from being alone in the house during the work day.
Safety first!
Our group walks are arranged with our clients’ safety in mind, and for that reason dogs are matched according to temperament, disposition and length of walk.
Is there anything you need to do?
All dogs walked in groups under our care must meet the following requirements:
> proof of up-to-date vaccinations
> tags on their collars
> proper collar (we recommend training collars or martingale collars)
> basic obedience
> be able to walk properly without pulling (although a dog that pulls may be easy to handle alone, in groups of 4 or 5 things get a little more interesting)
> must NOT suffer from any aggressive tendencies/problems
> have been spayed or neutered
